After 20 years, Rick King expresses high praise for St. Ann’s Home. He has watched his uncle, two aunts, his mother and now a close friend receive “exemplary care” from employees who look after residents “like they are family members”. This assurance of care means everything to him.

“What has stood out the most was the palliative care, says Rick, complimenting the compassion his 96-year-old mother Rose was shown in her final days.

Rick also commends employees who try everything to make his dear friend, Robert Tamke, comfortable.

“Our family is very fortunate in that we have had a number of relatives go through St. Ann’s nursing home; we consider this like winning the lottery if you are to go here,” says Rick.

The Kings are grateful that spiritual care at St. Ann’s embraces people of all faiths and everybody greets visitors with a warm hello.

As a frequent visitor the Kings know the building is growing old, and they look forward to new windows, along with renovations and lifts that will offer more bathroom privacy.

Thank you Rick and Barb King and your extended family for your $50,000 gift to Adopt a Room so that the residents of St. Ann’s will live in greater comfort.
