WHMIS 2015

All employees must complete WHMIS 2015.

It is with pleasure that we offer some flexibility in how you obtain this required course. Through Saskatchewan Association for Safe Work Places, we have obtained access to their online course.  This will allow staff to take the course either at home or at work.  For those that choose to do it at home, once you provide a completed certificate, you will be paid 3 hours of education time.  For those that have the ability and time to do it at work in your scheduled time, please discuss with your manager to determine necessary coverage for your shift.  For those that chose to do it at work, outside your scheduled shift, you will be provided 3 hours of paid education time.

Please refer to the SASHW instruction sheets for the online course through the www.saswh.ca website.  SASWH encourages using Firefox or Google Chrome.  Please retain your user name and password for future education opportunities.

There is a computer in the conference room for those employees that do not have access from home. Please use the calendar beside that computer to book your time to use this computer.  If you need help with the computer please ask your manager or Heather for assistance.  If the computer in the Conference Room is booked at a time you have available, please check with your manager to see if there is another computer available.  NOTE:  You must have access to your email when setting up your account.  If you are planning on using a computer at St. Ann’s please set up your account ahead of time.  The process to set up your account is outlined on the instruction sheet.

To claim your reimbursement for your time:

  1. Complete the online course
  2. Complete the Exam
  3. Print the Certificate
  4. Provide the Certificate to Heather, your manager or Ally. Be sure to include whether you completed the course during a scheduled shift or outside of your scheduled work time. THERE is NO over time for completion of this education.
